Hello Beautiful People! My name is Esther Cartwright and I am a proud Marauder Of Central State University. Campus life is amazing. The atmosphere of the university is peaceful yet fun. My classes are wonderful. The teachers are great. They take time to teach, they ask questions and give very understandable yet relatable examples. They are very dedicated to helping their students succeed especially during their office hours. Receiving the coveted PSSP Award has brought about an opportunity I could only dream about. Upon achieving this award, it built me into a lady I thought I could never become. To become a PSSP Scholar one must be dedicated and driven for their success. Trust me, without my drive and my support team I wouldn’t be sharing this chronicle of my life with you right now. This award is one of great honor and should be treated as such before and after the disbursement of the award seeing that it allows ordinary students to finally have the breakthrough that they need in order to accomplish their dreams and aspirations. To the future scholars, hold you’re head high and remain focused. I wish you all the best in your future journeys.
Hey, my name is Rostin Forbes, a first year business student at the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada. College life has been a major jump from that of high school; I’ve met people from all around the world, like Jamaica, Hong Kong, Belize and many other places. As a university, your typical class could range from 50 to over 150 students in one sitting and the campus itself can become a maze. The most major shift for me, may be the weather. At any given moment it can drop into the single digits, despite it only being October. The Pssp award is not only a scholarship, but it represents a gateway to opportunities that I never had imagined. A year prior to now if someone had told me I would be ‘all the way’ In Canada for college, I’d thought it was just positive thinking. For any upcoming graduates, I encourage you to apply to PSSP. Whether it be for your country, family, or even personal conditions, you can achieve and improve so much through this program.
My name is Keiajnae Lewis. I am a 2018 PSSP Award Recipient and I am now enrolled in Florida Memorial University. So far my college experience has been remarkable. Although I’m not far from home, I have encountered many different cultures, and new people from various backgrounds. My major is Aeronautical Science, and so far my classes are going great. The professors I have encountered are extremely helpful. Thanks to the PSSP Award along with the Blue Scholarship from Florida Memorial, my tuition, room, and board are paid in full. I am excited to continue this journey and see what lies ahead.
