My experience so far at Niagara College has been an exceptional one. It is a great school with awesome professors and faculty. I found it very easy to transition from high school to college due to the helpful teachers and student advisors. Without the Public School Scholars Program I would have never been able to begin this new chapter of my life called “College”. Words cannot express the amount of appreciation I have for PSSP and it administrators. It is because of them that I am able to gain a higher level of education and achieve my goals!

The first few weeks of university for me has been a bittersweet experience. I am immensely happy to venture into this new journey, and to be able to learn about the subject matters that interest me most, but I have faced challenges. For me adjusting to the Canadian curriculum and small city life has been a bit hard, but I got through it. The first few weeks of college has taught me that, success does not come easy, you have to work hard for you, harder than you’ve ever fought, and for the remainder of these four years, I am prepared to do just that!

Andrea Rahming. My college experience so far is AMAZING. The teachers take the time to work with us students one on one. Everyone here is nice and helpful. There are positive vibes everywhere. This is coming from a girl who has to wake up at 4 am to gt ready to go to class for 6 am . The fact that i don’t feel tired and am excited and enthusiastic about these 6 am classes means a lot.

My name is Derriko Lewis, a freshman at Monroe College in New Rochelle, New York – a recent graduate of Jack Hayward High School. So far, my college experience has been exceptional. Monroe is a very diverse campus representing over 75 countries. I had the opportunity to meet many persons from all around the world. As for my classes, they are going great as well. Class sizes are similar to those I had in high school which helps me tremendously.
