SELD HOSTS A PRESS CONFERENCE FOR UPCOMING COLLEGE SOCCER SHOWCASE
Scholarship Division to host College Soccer Showcase to connect student athletes with college and scholarship opportunity.
On Friday February 15th the Scholarship Division in conjunction with the National Football Association, hosted a press conference to announce the upcoming College Soccer Showcase, proudly sponsored by Breezes Bahamas, Glinton Sweeting O’Brien Counsel & Attorneys-at-Law and Bahamas Local.
The College Soccer Showcase will be held on Friday, 22nd February and Saturday the 23rd of February.
The purpose is to assist Bahamian Student athletes in reaching their goal of becoming collegiate student-athletes and it is our hope that we attract the close to 300 students that participate in interscholastic high school soccer in The Bahamas.
This is the first of many steps designed to shift the mindset of our student athletes from playing simply for “bragging rights” and championship, to playing for an opportunity to go to college with potential scholarship.
