The Government of Ireland is offering international scholarships to highly talented prospective applicants wishing to pursue a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree. Under the initiative 60 scholarships will be provided with one year to study a Bachelor, Masters or PhD level to successful candidates who have an offer at an eligible Irish higher education institution. The aim of the 2021 GOI-IES scheme is to reflect Ireland’s engagement in target partner countries. The scheme is operated in the higher education sector and funded in partnership between the Government and the higher education institutions (HEIs). Scholarships will be branded as prestigious awards reflecting the core messages about Ireland as a centre of international education. It is expected that for every scholarship winner, awareness of Ireland will be raised among many more potential students. Students who are successful will receive a €10,000 stipend for one year’s study and a full fee waiver of all tuition and other registration costs at the higher education institution. The scholarship may be for: the candidate’s final year of an undergraduate programme; one year of a taught master’s degree or, one year of a research programme (i.e., one year of a 2-year research masters or 3 - 4 years PhD programme.) International Broadcaster Deutsche Welle invites journalists from around the world to apply for full scholarships to study in Bonn, Germany, in a Master’s program in International Media studies. The International Media Studies Master’s Program trains students to be competent journalists and prepares them for a challenging role as expert or manager in the media sector. Students will acquire the knowledge and skills that are essential for a journalistic career. The Master’s Program includes media and development, journalism, communication science and media economics, while helping students develop practical skills and competencies that are relevant to the world of media. The program is a joint project of the University of Bonn, the Bonn Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and Deutsche Welle, and headquarters in Bonn. Applicants must have good verbal and written communication skills in German and English. Applicants must have a recognized undergraduate degree (bachelor's or equivalent) and, at least one year's experience working in a media-related field. The Lewis Scholarship is a 4-year full ride scholarship to the University of Central Florida based in Orlando, Florida. There are 4 scholarships awarded each semester (Spring and Fall) that includes full tuition to attain a bachelor's degree, room and board, insurance, meal plan, and books. The eligibility requirements are simple: 1. Graduate of a Bahamian Secondary School 2. Successfully admitted into UCF 3. Proof of financial need. The Lewis Family established the scholarship in 2019 with an aim to impact Bahamian youth (18-25). There is a strong emphasis to assist brilliant students with severe financial need. To date we have awarded 16 scholarships to students in Nassau and Grand Bahama.
The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Cuba has informed that the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) has invited university students to apply for the “Future Sustainability Leaders Program 2024”. The objective of the Program is to educate and empower university students and young professionals to become the next generation of sustainability leaders capable of carrying forward the sustainability agenda by offering participants hands-on experimental learning, self-paced studying of comprehensive content, and networking opportunities. Each year the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries. Recipients are selected by the awarding body, the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS). The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships are aimed at young Bahamians who have completed a master’s degree or PhD and at Bahamian artists holding a bachelor’s degree. The Mexican Petroleum Institute (IMP) is a Decentralized Organization of the Federal Public Administration recognized as a Public Research Center, whose creation decree states as part of its purpose, the training of specialists and researchers, which it achieves through its Master's and Doctorate Programmes in Science or Engineering, which offer students a multidisciplinary environment of comprehensive training and technological innovation to add value to the Energy Sector. These programs are registered by the National Postgraduate System of the National Council of Science and Technology. IMP, as the main centre for research, technological development and provider of technological solutions for the energy sector in Mexico, offers applicants to its postgraduate program the opportunity to join its academic and research community as students, with an avant-garde educational model that favours teamwork and the possibility of collaborating in the projects developed at the Institute, as well as the possibility of complementing their education through academic mobility to national and international institutions with which IMP has collaboration agreements. The United Nations 62nd Graduate Study Programme (62nd GSP) is accepting applications for its 2024 session under the theme: “Summit of the Future: Challenges and Opportunities”. The intensive two-week programme which will be held at the Palais de Nations in Geneva, Switzerland July 1 – 12, provides an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of the United Nations and International Geneva via first-hand observations, lectures, research, and networking. The cost of participation in the Programme is free however, participants will have to cover all other costs such as airfare, accommodations, food, insurance etc. The United Nations in Geneva will not be providing scholarships or financial assistance. Eligible participants must: • Be between 22 and 32 years of age at the time of application • Be enrolled in a master’s degree, a post-graduate degree or a doctoral programme at the time of application. Proof of enrolment will be required. • Fluent in English and knowledge of French is recommended • Not be employed • Not participated in previous Graduate Study Programmes The application deadline is 1 March 2024 and all candidates will be informed of the results by 1 April 2024.
