Hey, my name is Rostin Forbes, a first year business student at the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada. College life has been a major jump from that of high school; I’ve met people from all around the world, like Jamaica, Hong Kong, Belize and many other places. As a university, your typical class could range from 50 to over 150 students in one sitting and the campus itself can become a maze. The most major shift for me, may be the weather. At any given moment it can drop into the single digits, despite it only being October. The Pssp award is not only a scholarship, but it represents a gateway to opportunities that I never had imagined. A year prior to now if someone had told me I would be ‘all the way’ In Canada for college, I’d thought it was just positive thinking. For any upcoming graduates, I encourage you to apply to PSSP. Whether it be for your country, family, or even personal conditions, you can achieve and improve so much through this program.
