My name is Randisha Johnson, a freshman at Monroe College and also an extremely proud 2018 Public School Scholar. From I got a glimpse at all of the colleges this prestigious program had to offer, I knew that Monroe College was the place for me to go. Not only is it a private college with small sized classes, but it’s also placed in a suburban area where everything is in a walking distance. That was just a synopsis of what I got from their website, but when I actually arrived to the institution, they had exceed every single expectation. From the brilliant and sociable professors, to the ongoing activities that take place each week. This college offers a huge amount of love to the international student so that we can feel at home away from home, and I must say, they have done a stellar job at that. Words can not even begin to explain how grateful I am for receiving this award that granted me the ability to explore such diverse opportunities and further my education in a new environment. A thought that keeps me grounded and reminds me of how fortunate I am with this scholarship is. “To whom much is given, much is required.”
