The National Award and Bursary is a full four (4) year scholarship to the University of The Bahamas. It is available to all Bahamians who have earned five (5) or more BGCSE subject passes with a grade of “C” or higher. Two of the subjects earned must be mathematics and English Language. Students must apply to UB and apply for the Bursary.
The National Award and Bursary is valued at up to $5, 000.00 per year. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA, while in university and must pursue a minimum of fifteen (15) credits each semester to remain eligible for the award. Students who are not accepted for the Bursary out of high school and who are enrolled at UB can apply for the award, once they maintain a GPA of 3.0 and above.
All degrees offered at the University of The Bahamas can be studied using the National Award and Bursary.
Students wishing to pursue nursing must apply for the National Award and Bursary during their pre-nursing year.
